Effective January 1, 2012
The event brochure and the AVA web listing must identify a trail/route rating for all events. AVA acknowledges the system is somewhat objective
however,it does give the walker an idea of what to expect along the trail. The rating is in two parts. Part one (1-5) describes the incline/elevation
and the second part (A-E) describes the type of terrain along the trail.
